Frequently asked questions

How do I find a book in this website?

All books currently in stock are indexed by title, author name, and subject. Every book currently in stock has its own page in this website displaying price and publisher information, a summary of the book's content (when available), a list of other stocked books by the same author and a link to other books on the same subject.

To find a book by its title, go to the Browse by Title page. You'll see an alphabetical list at the top of the page. Click on a letter in the alphabetical list to find the title you are looking for. Note that the articles 'The' and 'A' are ignored.

For example: if you want to see details on Kurt Vonnegut's 'A Man Without a Country' you should click the letter 'M'. When the new page opens just scroll down the list of titles until you see 'Man Without a Country'. Click on the book title to find out more about the book. You'll be taken to a page displaying price and publisher information, a summary of the book's content (when available), a list of other stocked books by the same author and a link to other books on the same subject.

To find a book by its author, go to the Browse by Author page. You'll see an alphabetical list at the top of the page. Click on a letter in the alphabetical list to find the author you are looking for. Note that authors are indexed by family name.

For example: if you want to see which books we have by Robert Hughes you should click the letter 'H' in the alphabetical list. When the new page opens just scroll down the list of authors until you find 'Hughes, Robert'. You'll then see all the books we have in stock by Robert Hughes. To find out more about one of these books, click on the author's name. You'll be taken to a page displaying price and publisher information, a summary of the book's content (when available), a list of other stocked books by the same author and a link to other books on the same subject.

To find a book by its subject, go to the Browse by Subject page. Subjects are listed alphabetically. Click on a subject in the list to see all stocked books relating to that subject.

Once you have clicked on a subject you'll be taken to a page containing an alphabetical list all the books we have in stock on the subject you have chosen. To find out more about one of these books, click on the title. You'll be taken to a page displaying price and publisher information, a summary of the book's content (when available), a list of other stocked books by the same author and a link to other books on the same subject.
